Receive Inventory
RFLookup
This program allows your employees to quickly lookup the bin location of any item in the warehouse just by scanning the UPC or EAN.This is great for putting items just checked in from receiving on the shelf. The employee can just scan the UPC or EAN and it will display the location and quantity on hand (QOH).
It's also used by many of our customers as the first step in cycle counting.
Here's how it would work. Send one of your employees down a row. They stop at a bin, scan the UPC and the program tells them the QOH. They do a quick count of the bin and see that the numbers are in sync. No problem, they move on to the next BIN.
At the next BIN the employee finds that there are only 28 of an item and your computer shows '32'. They would place a red 'sticky note' on the front of the BIN denoting the inventory discrepancy.
Later that day your warehouse manage would walk the warehouse looking for these red sticky notes. They can either walk back and use the SEOM terimal to make a change to the SEOM Inventory table or using RFCycleCount you can make the change right there in the aisle.
RFReceive
RFReceive is NOW available. This program will allow you to receive items directly into SEOM using a hand held scanner and a PHP web interface. Here's how it would work.When a box arrives on the dock, you pull the invoice/packing slip and scan or enter your Purchase Order number.
Our program looks up the items on order in SEOM and allow you to scan the UPC/EAN of each item and enter the quantity received.
When the receiving employee is finished and the box is empty, they would set the items aside. Your purchasing agent then reviews what was received using our PHP web based interface, accepts the good items or rejects the items that were damaged, over shipped, etc.
Only when the purchasing agent hits 'Submit' are the items committed to inventory. This is a great improvement over most receiving processes in use today.
